What a difference a few hours makes. Dry sidewalk and clouds starting to appear as the picture was taken. Scene is fairly dry, wintry looking with bare vine stems, lots of browns and rusts. Several hours later there was strong wind, lightning, thunder, heavy downpours and small tornadoes within about 20 miles. And a heavier storm is expected for tomorrow and Thursday. I will have to go out early and see what I can find - though I'm guessing the landscapes will not look pristine due to leaves and branches being blown around today. As for the gate itself, I just loved all the wintry monochromatic browns, the swirly lines in the gate and how the rounded lines of the barren vines echo them.

Oooh, this is very moody and brown and wintry (for warmer climes anyway - not like some of the other Frenzies have been showing us!) Love the rainbow colours in the glass lamps! Nice work!
That is a HUGE iron gate, solid as a truck load of coal. Shame re the rust on the sandstone steps though.
Beautifully taken and framed.
Oh, what a wonderful gate. I also love those barren vines, it creates such a bleak mood.
It all looks very imposing! The photo is nicely taken, I just don't like the gates! :-)
Wow, A picture of gates with a tornado in the background would be cool!
I can see a moody face in this gate.
Despite the elegant curved lines it would still intimidate me.
But as ever you created another beautiful photo of it.
Very pretty framing and I love the different shades of brown. I hope you were safe back indoors by the time the storm landed.
