Well, this theme is getting me up and out early! You can tell by the shadows. I took a picture of these doors plain, then decided to take them also showing the entry gates, or at least one of the double entry gates. I love the combination of the two, so that's the picture you get to see! The detail on the front doors is amazing - click on the photo above for a larger version.

Another nice gate Carol. The one thing that bothers me is the lamp in the gap on the right hand side.
Aw, lovely. The gate looks as if it hid something magical.
I love the way how the 2 subjects in the picture go together, without distracting fro each other.
As it was mentioned before - the gap on the right is a bit distracting,
but that's the only thing about it that i don't like,
aside from that it's a really great picture.
I love it! :D
I could have cloned it out I guess, but I tried cropping before reaching the end of the gate and I didn't like it as much. Points are well taken though, and I appreciate them! But...the emphasis on this picture was supposed to be the doors, not the gate!! :)
Beautiful shots and gallery... i am stuck inside for mine since it is snow and cold everywhere here... beautiful shot!
Krea~
Where do you live to have all these gorgeous doors?! Great subject and so far I love them all!
I love the soft focus of the outer gate with the spirals... promising more beauty beyond, and the gorgeous carved doors do not let me down... Lovely find! I hope you get to meet some cool neighbors this way!
Wow! Your gallery is awesome Buffy. Nothing at all what I was picturing in my mind when you told me your theme. I love the double gates. Fantastic find and shot.
Oh my I love this one, it's amazing in full view. The patterns are very busy but they somehow fit together so well.
Bonza Ripper!!!!!
(That's slang for very very good in Aussie talk.)
This looks like something out of a fairytale. It's lovely.
So far you have found a lovely selection of doors and gates, quite on theme. I hope by day 31, they are not becoming scarce...you might just have to take a longer morning walk. Hummmm
I really like your capture of the detail of the door and the out of focus of the ironwork...it draws you in to look for more
Two in one! What pretty designs the gate and doors have.
I love that you used the grille gate in the foreground and that lovely detailed door behind. Great job.
Lots to look at here.
I too have geraniums in a pot by the front door - but there the resemblance ends, LOL.
Nice effect with the timber doors behind it.
The doors you find match the climate very well. If you told me you shot them in a mediterrenian country I would believe you. It would be one of the richer mansions of course as one can also spot many battered doors around those countries.
