I just loved the peaceful Zen look of this gate, with its yin-yang of solid and open portions in a clean-lined structure. The pines and all of the greenery inside the gate give this home a relaxed, meditative quality. I wonder if there is a water feature to complete the mental image!

what an interesting gate. The side cut-outs being a repetition of the inner doors does really, as you say, have that Asian style, zen feel. What a amazing find.
Very zen, Great gallery I love the way you are able to take a picture each day and they remain so consistent as you did then all in one shoot. (except of the days that you left your area) all of the picture are in the same tone.
This is a theme that whole have a different meaning if I did it in my area. I used to be a mail-Lady

How come we don't have gates like these where I live? :( Those gate numbers look gigantic.
I love the soft shadows on the pavement not overpowering the intruiging gate.
Love the graphic shapes and design, and the wooden gate is very solid-looking and an effective barrier to the outside. But the softness of all the foliage really settles it into the environment. Nice find.
