Day 5 - You Rang?

When I walked past this house, what jumped out at me was this metal-grille-guarded peephole (as if someone couldn't just vault over the top of the gate?). It brought to mind Lurch ("You rang?"), from the Addams Family. Yeah, I know I'm dating myself, but I did with Fantasy Island, too. The front door to the house is in the rear, up some steps, under that big arched portico.

You have a great eye for great gates! So many of these would be lovely framed on the wall. I am enjoying this series - although I wish I could see through this one to what is hiding behind!

Again, another wonderful door and image. It reminds me of medieval stories and knights in shining armor! I love your series!

Oh Buffy, these gates just seem to be getting better and better. This photo belongs in a magazine. I love how you got the opening of the door or whatever it is, centered perfectly over the gate. This is my favorite so far. Who knew gates could look so good?

A stunning photo. It really is. The colours all go so well together especially with the sun shining.

That door looks very solid and heavy! Man, the people round your neighbourhood have some fancy and very impressive doors. The grille that serves as a peephole is very medieval looking. Nicely done! And the arch looks great overhead too.

I love the title, it's so apt.
Is it a case of one neighbour trying to outdo another or does every house have huge doors like these?

It looks like the entrance of a prison. Who knows they keep somebody locked up in there?
